We deal with all types of criminal cases in all criminal Courts. We have successfully represented clients in countless Police and regulatory investigations and Magistrates Court trials, including licensing appeals.
We are regularly engaged in serious and complex Crown Court trials and assist clients with appeals against conviction and sentence. A small example of successful cases is shown below.
We are currently engaged in an appeal against conviction for murder.
We have recently been engaged in a murder trial involving several defendants in an alleged gang attack. A complex case involving CCTV, mobile phone and bad character evidence.
We are currently engaged in a complex trial involving an alleged large-scale supply of drugs as part of Operation Venetic, with the prosecution relying on ‘encrochat’ and mobile phone and cell site data.
Russian client was wrongly charged with murder. We established using his mobile phone data and CCTV that he was not in the area at the time of the incident. This was an early example of the use of phone data to establish an alibi.
Our client was charged with being involved in the supply of firearms. He was acquitted following a trial at the OId Bailey.
Client was charged with murder following a burglary. He was charged with other defendants. Following a thorough analysis of the case and representations to the prosecution, the murder charge was dropped against our client and he pleaded guilty to an alternative charge of aggravated burglary.
Our client was charged with being involved in a charity fraud. Multiple defendants were involved, and the case involved a large volume of papers and complex accounting spreadsheets to identify the movement of money and contacts. Following our written submissions to the prosecution, the case against our client was discontinued.
Client was wrongly alleged to have stabbed to death a fellow inmate in prison. Following a lengthy trial, he was acquitted.
Road rage incident during which client was alleged to have assaulted another driver. The jury accepted he acted in self-defence.
Road rage incident. Client was victim of a racially motivated attack but was charged with assault. The jury accepted that he acted in self-defence.
Client was mistakenly identified as someone who had shot the victim. He was acquitted after the jury accepted that he was wrongly identified.
First female genital mutilation prosecution in the UK since the law was introduced in 1985. Our client was unanimously acquitted by the jury following a lengthy trial.
False allegation of historic rape. The prosecution offered no evidence and dropped the case after we thoroughly investigated unused material and it became clear the complainant had lied.
Client charged with defrauding the Department for Trade and Industry out of several million pounds. Very complex case involving banking and computer data.
Multimillion pound money laundering ring involving tax avoidance on the sale of alcohol. Multiple defendants and vast amounts of material to review.
Client was acquitted at trial after being charged with importation of cocaine from SouthAmerica. He was the only defendant to be found not guilty out of eight defendants.
Client acquitted of two serious charges relating to alleged trafficking of females fromRomania for sexual exploitation.
Client alleged to have been involved in a shooting. His co-defendants were convicted and sentenced to life imprisonment. Our client, following legal argument, pleaded guilty to manslaughter and received a substantially shorter sentence.
Successful appeal against conviction in the Court of Appeal. Client was charged with conspiracy to rob and was convicted at trial. However, amongst other things, the Judge made an error in his directions to the jury, and the Court of Appeal quashed the conviction and ordered a re-trial.
